One of the oldest and most respected wineries in Germany, yet one of the most innovative and forward thinking.

Founded in 1849, the winery achieved a significant reputation outside Germany as well as attaining highest awards at world exhibtions in Paris, Brussels and Chicago.

At the turn of the century, the wines from Buhl were acclaimed more highly than the most distinguished wines from the Burgundy and Bordeaux regions.

Von Buhl has an excellent portfolio of wines from Grand Cru, Spatburgunder (from the oldest vines in Pfalz), Sekt and an absolutely superb entry level Riesling QbA.

The Wines

	Reichsrat von Buhl Riesling Sekt Brut 2007 Made from 100% Riesling. Fruity and light with a citrus fragrance, it is the perfect opening to any celebration. The fruit aromas are caressed by a fine yeast bouquet, reminiscent of freshly baked bread. Suppleness, fruit and spirit are brought together on the palate.
	Forster Ungeheuer Riesling Auslese 2009 The grapes for this wine were picked with over 110 degrees Oechsle, all from vineyards classified as first growth. Noble sweet Riesling wines from the Ungeheuer are rare, truly unique wines with great strength and a remarkable concentration of fruity acidity and sweetness, and distinguished by an enormous storage life.
	Forster Pechstein Grosses Gewachs 2007 From the Pechstein vineyard, this wine has an aroma and flavour beginning with fruity, subtle, exotic, yellow aromas, superseded by a closed, dense character with that typical mineral saltiness which finds its perfection in a long, youthful, fresh, lasting elegance.
	Von Buhl Spätburgunder 2008 Forest aromas and concentrated fruit aromas of blueberries currently mark this young red wine. Its elegant ruby colour is the feature of the filigree nature that one then finds on the palate. Lively fruit, ripe tannins and a long sophisticated finish are the strong characteristics of this delightful variety and the wine it produces.
